Racing poster
Portfolio start
OBJECTIVE
By using provided photo, create a banner for a bike race.
PROCESS
Firstly I needed to remove logos from the original photo of a bike. It was required to clear the space for a bunch of new sponsor logos, which I placed later. After the focus object was completed, I started playing with different options for the background. It should represent the fast movement of the vehicle. Also, I needed to source sponsor logos for the banner, which didn’t take too much time. By applying diverse effects in Photoshop, I achieved the feel of race on the picture.

Movie quote
OBJECTIVE
By using diverse typography styles, create a card with an inspirational quote from any person/source.
PROCESS
Made 3 sketches for different variants of layout and background options. After the review, only one was chosen, and proceeded to work with this. I wanted to create clean artwork, but at the same time it needed to show a clear picture of the character who said the quote. I decided to use white lines for the character and the city, on black background to create distinctive and clear style. In terms of typography, I found fonts for multiple types of words: soft, hard and regular. Three of these types represent the emotional feel with which this words are said.

BBQ Sause
OBJECTIVE
To design fictional company’s BBQ sauce box and bottle label. (company’s logo and name also needed to be created).
PROCESS
Drew multiple sketches for the logo of the company and label with the box. These variants were reviewed, and comments helped to continue with one of the options for each part (logo, box and label). Then, I created chosen options digitally in Illustrator. Those options were pretty plain in terms of colour, and I added more rich tones into composition. The final variants were placed into InDesign file. This format is more efficient for printing and as a consequence for creating physical mock- ups. In addition to that, digital mock-up was also created.

Book cover
OBJECTIVE
Re-design the cover of a chosen book.
PROCESS
Made some sketches for different layouts. The book which I chose
had depressive, dark feel and most of the action happened in Moscow subway system. I used this information to create first variants. After the review, I was able to proceed with 2 options, which I transferred into digital space in Illustrator. When the only one variant left, I improved it to the state which I wanted to see. Then, when I felt confident with what I did, digital and physical mock-up were created. The base for physical one was crafted by me and then I glued the printed cover on it.

Magazine
OBJECTIVE
Design 4 pages of a magazine section - any topic.
PROCESS
My original idea was to make 4 pages about North Korea. I created multiple sketches for the layout, which were reviewed later on. Then, I moved one chosen option into digital space. Although, after this stage I change my direction completely. Instead of North Korea topic, I made a fictional article/story. I didn’t do any sketches for this time, and just took everything from my head. I didn’t spend too much time on this transition, and the results looked great. After that, I printed 4 pages as spreads, and created digital mock-up.

Movie poster
OBJECTIVE
By combining sourced photography/objects and applying effects to them, create a fictional movie poster.
PROCESS
Made 3 sketches for different variants, which were reviewed later
on. After multiple suggestions about my variants, I created a rough composition from a fast sourced photos and designed the wordmark for the movie. After this stage, I found more and higher quality photos which will work better in the scene. These photos were still needed to be edited so they can work together. Editing required addition of shades and effects to the composition to make it look more entertaining. Also, the creature from the poster was created by using just 6 sourced images of sticks, which were duplicated many times and placed in a correct order.

Atari poster
OBJECTIVE
After digitally re-drawing an old Atari console, insert it into an ad poster which highlits the feel of the era from which the console came.
PROCESS
Received the main console image and its schematical picture. These images were needed to be re-drawn in Illustrator. Schematical picture was in black/white, and the main console was in full colour with shades applied to show the volume. After the completion of this stage, I needed to prepare the background on the poster. Also I needed to consider the space for the schematical image and the main one. For the background I took inspiration from classical games such as Super Mario, Donkey Kong, PacMan and Space Invaders.

Beer ad poster
OBJECTIVE
On a base of “Beer label“ project, I needed to create an ad poster for the smae beer company.
PROCESS
10 simple sketches were done to show diverse options. The same style was needed to be applied in the poster. After options were reviewed, I proceeded with 2 of them. These options were recreated in Illustrator and then shown on review again. Then, the only one option left, and I just improved it for the final. Additionally to just the poster, I created digital mock-up of how it would look like on a street wall.

Mobile website
OBJECTIVE
On the base of another project, I needed to create a mobile version of a website for the Fanshawe clinic.
PROCESS
7 wireframe screens were created. Then these screens needed to be in high-fidelity. This action was the final step before transformation of these screens into prototype.

Capstone project
OBJECTIVE
Create environmental/wayfinding graphics for Fanshawe Wellness Clinic.
PROCESS
Created first examples of the graphic style and logos, which were corrected and approved. This leaded to creation of other elements of the projects in the same style. When every graphic was created, I was able to turn them into mock-ups. Then, the final presentation for the client was created.

Coffee cup
OBJECTIVE
Design a coffee cup look for a fictional cafe (the title and a logo needed to be created as well).
PROCESS
Created the title and the logo for the company which I called “Astra“. Firstly I made many fast sketches for the logo, which were presented later for review. After this stage I moved further with one option, which was done in a better shape inside of Illustrator. Also, I designed two options for the actual cup design. I tried to present “dark” and “Light“ variants. At the end, two of this options were approved. To present results, I created physical and digital mock-ups.

Stationary
OBJECTIVE
Re-branding of a real restaurant “Turkish Kitchen“ and creating its stationary set.
PROCESS
Firstly I created multiple variants for the logo, which was the main part at this stage. I needed to place it on all stationary elements later. At the same time, I searched for a proper font combinations, which will highlight the vibe of the restaurant. After the choice was made, I started placing everything together. For this stage, I used basic information provided by the client, and it should be on all stationary elements. This result was reviewed and after all unclear moments were fixed, I was able to finish the project.
